Civil War Songs
Both the North and South created a significant amount of music during the civil war. Many songs are recognizable today and include instruments that were used on the battlefield. These instruments included brass instruments, such as the bugle, woodwinds, such as the fife, and drums, of course. Most of the iconic songs produced during the civil war era is featured in the Blue and the Gray. To the right, you can listen to one of the Confederate's most famous anthems, Dixie Land. You can also listen to When Johnny Comes Marching Home to the right.
